Fusuma and Stairs

Today progress in screenshots. It’s starting to look good. I’ve spent a couple of days finding some good materials for the stairs (I have 4 different type of wood, the one in the picture is walnut) and remaking the UVs for a better result.

For the fusuma I’ve used some ancient drawing found on Wikipedia, one sumi-e (I would like to find more of them, or even drawing one) and a few landscape prints by the Japanese ukiyo-e artist Hokusai (1760–1849). The latter are all wonderful images of Fuji-san from different locations, in various seasons and weather conditions. They really change the general impression of the room.
